Srinagar, March 16 (KNO) : Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested three accused involved in firing gunshots in air at Hari Niwas in Panjtirthi. Police said that in the late hours of March 15, 2019, it was reported at PP Panjtirthi that four persons, who were on their way out from the bar at Hari Niwas, fired gun shots in air outside hotel and thereafter fled from the spot in an SUV bearing number JK02BX-0440 and a motor cycle. “In relation to this, a case under FIR number 39/2019 under section 336, 188, 34 RPC and 3/25 Arms Act was registered at PS Pacca Danga and investigation was immediately set into motion ,” police said. A police party led by IC PP Panjtirthi, SI Vinod Sharma worked on different leads, tracked and arrested three of the accused, namely, Ishant Raina, son of Omkarnath Raina of F-301 Opposite Dc office, Wazarat Road, Vivek Singh, son of Harbans Raj of Hazoori Bagh, Talab Tillo and Manik Nayat, son of Raj Kumar, of Bari Brahmana. The search for the fourth accused is currently underway, police added.(KNO)
